Long term use of rotary joints can cause leakage, which is generally caused by insufficient concentricity of the joint docking; The friction surface of the graphite ring has not been worn in; Wear and tear of graphite rings, etc. Graphite ring wear may be normal wear and tear, or it may be caused by hard particles entering the gaps of the graphite ring, leading to rapid wear of the graphite ring. In this case, the graphite ring should be replaced or the rotating joint should be replaced as a whole. The replacement steps for the graphite ring of the rotary joint are as follows:

(1) Disconnect the isolation switch of the equipment, close the main steam valve, and hang a safety sign that reads’ Do not open ‘.
(2) After the steam pipeline cools down, remove the protective sheet and use a large wrench to unscrew the steam hose.
(3) Remove the pull rod from the lifting ear.
(4) Use a large wrench to hold the rotating shaft sleeve and unscrew the entire rotating joint from the main shaft of the moisture regain machine (pay attention to the direction of the thread rotation).
(5) Slowly rotate the screw to remove the spring force until the screw is unscrewed and the flange is removed.
(6) Take out the graphite ring and shaft sleeve one by one, replace them with two new rotating joint graphite rings, and then reinstall them in their original positions. Note that the spring should be placed in the positioning groove, and all hard particles and other dirt inside the rotating joint should be thoroughly cleaned before installing the graphite ring.
(7) Check if the sealing ring of the rotary joint is intact, and replace it if it is damaged.
(8) Cover the flange, screw in the screws, and tighten diagonally evenly.
(9) Wrap the threaded connection part of the rotating shaft sleeve of the rotary joint with raw material tape or apply high-temperature resistant sealant, connect the shaft sleeve with the main shaft of the equipment, and use hands or tools to pull the shell in the direction of rotation of the rotary joint to check whether it rolls flexibly. If it is not flexible, the reason should be found and adjusted.
(10) Adjust the length of the pull rod of the lifting lug so that the rotation center line of the rotary joint is aligned with the main shaft of the equipment, and the circumferential gap between the shaft sleeve and the flange is basically the same
(11) Install steam hose. If the steam hose hardens, it is easy to cause errors in the rotation joint and equipment spindle after installation, and a new steam hose should be replaced
(12) Open the main steam valve, start the equipment, turn on the steam jet, and check if there is any air leakage in the rotary joint. There is air leakage between the shaft sleeve and the flange, indicating that the rotation center line of the rotary joint is not in a straight line with the equipment spindle. The length of the lifting lug rod can be adjusted appropriately to align it.
