555/655 rotary joints Information

The 655 Rotary Joint is one of the large-diameter models in the “55 series” . As a key dynamic sealing component in industrial fluid transmission systems, this model is mainly used to transport media such as liquids, gases, or steam from fixed pipelines to high-speed rotating or reciprocating equipment, and is widely used in fields such as papermaking, chemical engineering, metallurgy, printing, and mechanical manufacturing.

rotary joints

1. Structural characteristics
Shell and rotor material: Unlike the 55-355 model which uses stainless steel rotors, the rotor of the 655 type rotary joint is usually made of carbon steel, while the shell can be made of metal materials such as cast iron, cast steel, or stainless steel according to specific working conditions.
Sealing mechanism: Adopting a dual seal combination design, equipped with two high-precision ball bearings inside, ensuring precise alignment of the sealing surface under high-speed rotation, effectively reducing leakage rate and extending service life.
Path form: Provides two structures: single channel (unidirectional) and dual channel (bidirectional), which can be selected according to the input and output requirements of the medium.
Connection method: Supports threaded (such as NPT, BSP, ST threads) and flange connections, with strong installation flexibility.

2. Application Fields
The 655 type rotary joint is commonly used in heavy industrial equipment that requires high flow media transmission due to its large diameter and stable performance
Paper industry: Used for steam heating or cooling water circulation in equipment such as paper machine dryers, steamers, and coating machines.
Chemical and Pharmaceutical: Used for heating or cooling thermal oil in equipment such as drum dryers, reaction vessels, centrifuges, etc.
Steel metallurgy: used for cooling systems in equipment such as continuous casting machines and rolling mills.
Other industries: rubber and plastic machinery, textile printing and dyeing, food drying equipment, etc.
