The rotary joint is a rotary joint for coaxially arranging a rotary member and a fixed member, wherein a rotary passage along the axial direction of the rotary joint is provided in the rotary member and the rotary member is attached to a rotary shaft, a fixed passage along the axial direction of the rotary joint is provided in the fixed member and the fixed member is fixed to a holding member, and fluid is supplied from a fluid supply source to the rotary passage of the rotary member rotating about the axis of the rotary joint through the fixed passage. This rotary joint can effectively prevent problems caused by foreign matter entering the sliding gap between the fixed shaft portion and the hole, as well as accumulation and solidification, through a simple configuration.

The accurate selection, procurement, proper installation, use, and maintenance of rotary joints based on technical parameters such as the nature, type, temperature, pressure, speed, and structural style of the fluid medium used in the equipment are of great significance for the reliability of the product’s sealing performance and extending its service life. Therefore, the following precautions are specifically proposed:
1) When installing the rotary joint, attention should be paid to the accurate positioning of the connection with the pipeline to ensure concentricity during installation. When installing threaded rotary joints, it is important to ensure that the thread direction of the inner and outer tubes corresponds to the rotation direction of the roller, and that the thread direction of the inner and outer tubes remains consistent. The inlet and outlet of the rotary joint should be connected directly to the hose as much as possible to reduce the load on the joint and help extend its service life.
2) When assembling the inner tube, attention should be paid to the coordination of dimensions and auxiliary support for weight. It is recommended to use the H8/e7 tolerance standard for the fit between the inner tube and the rotary joint of the inner tube rotary type. To enable automatic adjustment and compensation during the application of the rotary joint, it is suggested that the support and anti-rotation fit of the rotary joint generally have a rod diameter 2mm smaller than the anti-rotation hole [14].
3) During the installation and maintenance of rotary joints, careful operation should be taken to prevent foreign objects or hard particles from entering the contact surface of the friction pair. Overload impacts or disassembly should be avoided as much as possible to prevent damage to the connection port and internal hardware, which could lead to sealing failure and shortened service life.
4) For rotary joints that require disinfection and cleaning, attention should be paid to the impact of disinfectant and cleaning solution concentrations on the performance of the rotary joint, to avoid premature damage due to improper operation.
