The energy connection between the fixed part and the fixed structure of the equipment is called the “stator”.

There are driving components, measuring components, and control components on the rotating parts. They are provided with control signals and power by the computer room. This requires various slip ring components to transmit signals and energy. Some radars require rotation of over 100 rows. According to the frequency of the transmitted signal, the slip ring assembly can be divided into low-frequency slip rings, medium frequency slip rings, and high-frequency rotating hinges. Slip rings usually only refer to the first two. The electrical performance indicators of slip ring components are: insulation resistance, contact resistance, dielectric strength, and crosstalk.
At present, most of the slip rings on the market are point contact type. The contact material of this slip ring is a bundle of metal brushes composed of a precious metal wire. However, each metal wire is in point contact with the ring surface of the slip ring. This not only ensures good contact pressure and conductivity, but also prevents the slip ring from generating heat during friction. Although it does not produce debris during operation at large speeds, it will not affect the service life of the slip ring.
The size and price of slip rings are also closely related to the current they carry. If the required current is 20 amperes, the larger load of the slip ring can only be 10A or 15a. At this time, the contact material of the slip ring cannot withstand such a large load, which will generate heat, burn out the contact brush wire, and then short-circuit and burn out the electric ring.
