1. Please remove foreign objects from the pipes, rollers, and other flow channels to prevent them from entering the sealing surface. New machines often have abnormal damage to the rotating joints due to unclean interiors (cylinder ring jamming, spherical ring pulling). In addition, when foreign objects are mixed into the fluid, please install a filter on the flow channel.

2.When the outer tube of the rotary joint is connected by threads, both the outer tube (rotating shaft) and the fixed inner tube must have left or right teeth, and attention should be paid to the correct tooth orientation during installation. The rotation direction of the drum (roller) should be observed from the installation direction of the rotary joint as follows: “clockwise direction is the left thread, counterclockwise direction is the right thread”.
3. Ensure that the concentricity and minimum runout tolerance of the roller or docking flange are normal to ensure smooth operation of the rotating joint.
When installing the rotary joint, the outer pipe and quick change flange of the rotary joint should be concentric after being connected to the rotating shaft of the equipment. During operation, the rotary joint should swing as little as possible to extend its service life (if the rotary joint is not concentric after installation and the speed reaches the maximum bearing parameter, it may cause fatigue fracture at the connection between the joint and the rotating body).
4. In addition to the rotary joint, during the assembly of the inner tube, attention should be paid to the fit of dimensions and the auxiliary support of weight. Radial runout and axial tension may cause the rotary joint to malfunction. The recommended tolerance fit for the inner tube and joint of the inner tube rotary joint is E8/h8.
5. For rotary joints with anti rotation devices, please perform anti rotation with sufficient torque support to prevent the joint components from falling off and causing accidents due to the rotation of the shell. When stopping the rotation, please only stop the rotation of the rotary joint and do not impose any other constraints. If the axial movement is obstructed due to the wear of the sealing ring, it may cause leakage.
During the installation process, it is not allowed to impact or knock the rotating joint, as the internal sealing ring (immersed in metal graphite, high hardness, wear-resistant) of the rotating joint is prone to breakage under abnormal external forces, leading to leakage.
7. For rotary joints with inspection holes, please ensure that the inspection holes are facing downwards during installation. In case of any abnormality in the sealing part, fluid will leak from the inspection holes and the abnormality can be quickly detected. Therefore, please make sure to install it facing downwards. If facing upwards or blocking the hole, the leaked fluid will accumulate in the rotary joint and enter the bearing part, causing poor lubrication and rotation, leading to serious accidents. Therefore, please pay full attention.
8. Check whether the position of the fluid entering or exiting the pipeline corresponds to the corresponding hole of the rotary joint and meets the design requirements. After the installation of the rotary joint for conducting hot oil medium, ensure that the return hole (i.e. side hole) of the rotary joint is downward. Prevent impurities in the oil circuit from accumulating inside the housing of the rotary joint, causing damage to the sealing graphite and jamming of the cylindrical ring inside the housing, resulting in the loss of compensating force of the spring.
9. Do not directly add heavy objects such as valves or filters to the inlet and outlet of the rotary joint. If necessary, the device should be added after the hose.
10. Regarding the length of the hose used, it is best to use 300-400mm for hoses less than 3/4 “(DN20), 400-600mm for hoses less than 1” (DN25), and 600-800mm for hoses greater than 1-1/4 “(DN32). Both long and short hoses should not be used.
11. For piping with rotary joints, please use hoses. Do not use steel pipes for direct piping or piping that restricts the operation of rotary joints.
